Lucy Fifelski

Lucy was born to Frank and Josephine Marcinek on October 19, 1923. Lucy was the second youngest of eight children. She was a lifetime member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church where she was baptized and married. Lucy was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Our Lady Queen of Heaven Circle, and a very active member in TOPS. Lucy always made a warm and inviting home for her family. She was a great baker, cook, and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needlepoint and various crafts. Lucy always kept a big garden, and canned and preserved many fruits and vegetables. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and enjoyed listening to the games. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and friends at the Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland for their care and friendship to Lucy for the last two and a half years.

Lucy will be lovingly remembered by her 11 children Sr. Constance Fifelski OP, Janet Sage, Pauline (Craig) Gallagher, Michael (Lisa) Fifelski, Kenneth (Mari) Fifelski, Sam (Karen) Fifelski, Laura (Patrick) Champion, Frederick (Mary) Fifelski, Charles (Kathy) Fifelski, Sr. Jacoba FSGM, Alan (Lori) Fifelski; 37 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Fifelski; siblings Stan (Kay) Marcinek, Celia (Roy) Koperski, Helen (Nate) Marklevitz, Eddie (Adeline) Marcinek, Al (Dorothy) Marcinek, Julia (Larry) Bialk, Harry Marcinek; and son-in-law, Jack Sage.

Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St., Dorr, MI 49323, with prayers of the Rosary at 3 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 136th Ave., Dorr, MI 49323.
