

He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed. He was a very hard and dedicated worker; worked and retired then went back to work until the age of 72. He enjoyed coaching softball and playing baseball/softball all his life. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan. He was a jack of all trades in fixing things and enjoyed woodworking. He especially enjoyed helping friends and family with their projects.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, two children; Dana Westerman Aucoin (Charles) and Kurt Westerman (Heidi); three grandchildren, Camren Aucoin (Courtenay), Ashley Westerman, and Samantha Aucoin; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Morgan Aucoin; expecting Baby Benson; one sister-in- law, Maryanne Westerman; one brother-in-law, Jerry Percle; lifelong friend, Bennel Harp and Speedy his beloved dog.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lily and Camille Westerman, Sr.; his wife, Frances Westerman; five brothers; Roland, Leroy, Camille "Snow", Roy "Day Day", Ridley "Toe Toe" Westerman; and three sisters, Lily "Chicken" Westerman Webb, Geraldine "Jeannie" Westerman Percle, and Ella Mae "Baby Lou" Westerman Adams.
The pallbearers will be Kurt Westerman, Charles Aucoin, Camren Aucoin, Wayne Westerman, Jon Lemann, James Percle and honorary Roger Prejean with Speedy.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, and his primary care doctor, Charles Bolotte and staff for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023 for 9:00 am at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church and the Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the church for 11:00 am in Donaldsonville. Interment to follow in the church mausoleum. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
