Ronald “Ronnie” Morris Sr., 79, a native and resident of Donaldsonville, LA, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2016. He retired from the Ascension Parish Government after working 20 plus years. Ronnie enjoyed eating good food, dancing; all of Gwen’s cats but his favorite was Smokey, and Western Movies. Some of his favorites were: Shane, Flicka, Gunsmoke, and any movie with John Wayne. Ronnie took his last ham from Frey Brother’s to Heaven with him. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Young Morris of 60 years; four daughters, Nadine and Danny Cassard, Danna and Robert Clark, Stephanie and Tommy Coburn, and Gwen Morris; two sons, Kyle, Bart and Amy Morris; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Estave and Florence Romero Morris; one son, Ronald “Rocky” Morris Jr.; seven brothers, Rudy, Claude, Steve, Nelson, Kent, and Roy; five sisters, Agnes, Anna Mae, Shirley, Dorothy, and Muriel. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at St. Francis Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am officiated by Fr. Paul Yi and Fr.
