Dickey was a loving son, husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He was a very talented and gifted man who took pride in his work. Dickey worked as a paint and body technician for several different body shops. His favorite part of his job was restoring classic cars. Dickey also enjoyed fishing with his son, Jarrett and cooking. Dickey was a man of faith and because of his relationship with his Lord and Savoir, he was able to find peace and strength in Jesus Christ in the last days of his life. He had several walks throughout life, but his walk with the Lord was the most important.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty four years, Kelly Gros Simoneaux; one son, Jarrett Simoneaux; his mother, Lydia Simoneaux; three siblings, Nancy Simoneaux, Herman "Cheyenne" Simoneaux (Dana), and Gail Gautreau (Claude); mother-in-law, Vera Gros and three sisters-in-law, Laura Dille (Chris), Amy Englert (Andy), and Missy Gray (Dwayne).
He is preceded in death by his father, Leroy Simoneaux; his brother, Rickey Simoneaux; his father-in-law, Kenneth Gros; one nephew, Clifton Ordoyne and one great nephew, Jonathan Villemez.
The family would like to recognize Dickeys faithful companion, Cheyenne Haniahaka Simoneaux who was always there for him in his time of need.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville, LA, on Friday December 20, 2024 from 11am until service at 1pm. Interment will follow in the Ascension Catholic Church Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to his family in his honor.
