Margie Marie St. Germain

Margie was born in Head of Island, LA, on September 14, 1942, to her parents, the late Leo Berthelot and Alosia Dupuy Berthelot. Margie was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Bourgeois; her infant daughter, Tonya; her sister, Myrtle Leblanc; and her three brothers, Berman Berthelot, Sr., Jimmy Berthelot, and Curtis Berthelot.

Margie was the beloved wife to her husband, Fredrick St. Germain, and mother to five children, Natalie Scivicque McMorris (Derek), Bret St. Germain (Heidi), Bart St. Germain (Rachel), Brian St. Germain (Hollie), and Barry St. Germain (Jeanne). She was the sister of George Berthelot, Myrtis Trabeau, and Beulahmae Hook. She leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A special thank you to her caregiver, Brandi Lavron. We are grateful for the kindness and support you have given in caring for Margie.

Margie shared her love of cooking with family and friends. She also spent much of her time sewing and quilting, creating beautiful gifts for her family and friends.

The pallbearers will be Bret St. Germain, Bart St. Germain, Brian St. Germain, Barry St.Germain, Chris Mc Morris, Cody Mc Morris and Alex Bencaz.

Please join us in celebrating her life Friday morning August 18, 2023, from 9:30 AM until 12:00 Noon at St. Elizabeth Church in Paincourtville, LA. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon and the burial to follow at Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery in Gonzales, LA. Father Tomi Thomas will be officiating.
