Mable was a wonderful, kind, generous, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. “Maymay” especially loved music, growing flowers, and LSU football and baseball.
She is survived by her six children, Don Savoie (Grace), Anne Zeringue (Dale), Allan Savoie (Tracey), Lewis Savoie (Lynn), Steven Savoie, and Jane LaGrange(Scott); her fourteen grandchildren, Ryan Savoie (Amanda), Morgan Gravois (Gavin), Kristine Davis (Troy), Ashlee Bordelon (Randy), Jennifer Comeaux (Steven), and Stephanie Cancienne (Justin), Rebecca Hood (Austin), Margaret Savoie, Steven Paul, Mason, and Kellen Savoie, Anna Boudreaux (Kade), Sarah Matis (Jarad) and Jacob LaGrange (Jordan-fiancee); and fourteen great-grandchildren, Wren and Leigh Savoie, Addison and Isabelle Gravois, Mackenzie and Benjamin Davis, Emersyn Bordelon, Hailey and Kaitlyn Comeaux, Hayden and Hudson Cancienne, Alyse Hood, and Kollyns and Brynne Boudreaux.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Donald Joseph Savoie, Sr. , her parents, Clarence J. and Annie Lee D. Richardson, and her siblings, Mary Christine (Teena) Hemphill, Annie Lee (Baby) Schlatter, and Clarence J. (Brother) Richardson, Jr.
There are not enough words to thank her caregivers, Tiffanie, Rachel, Cat, and Catherine, for their amazing care and compassion. Many thanks to Cardinal Hospice, Dr. Keith Landry’s office, and a special thanks to Danielle for her guidance and support.
Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2023 from 10a.m. until 11a.m. at St. Jules Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial at 11a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jules/St. Elizabeth Save Our Treasures Capital Campaign.
