LeRoy was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, even though he didn't catch a lot of fish, calling Bingo, and last but not least, spending time with his family.
LeRoy was a proud member of the US Army National Guard, the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree Msg. Landsman, CF Retiree Organization and Men's Club. He was a devout Catholic who cherished his faith as a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his five children, Letha Pfister (Wayne), Nathan Plaisance (Tammie), Doreen Mack (Timothy), Angie Breaux (Walt), and Cassie Plaisance; five grandchildren, Dori Maddry (Mark), Michael Ganel Jr., Jairus Plaisance, Rusty Patterson (Jasmine), and LeRae' Daigle (Alex); eight great grandchildren, Shaylen Pfister, MacKenzie Maddry, Logan Maddry, Ja'Lyn Plaisance, Raenn Patterson, Michael Ganel III, Shanell Ganel, and Ryah Patterson and one brother, Donald Plaisance.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Clarisse Theriot Plaisance; two grandchildren, Angel Plaisance and Shane Pfister; parents, Adam and Philomene Loland Plaisance and his three brothers, Terry, Dale, and Todd Plaisance.
The family would like to thank Pinnacle Hospice and Healthcare for their care and support.
A visitation will be held at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 6pm until 9pm and will resume at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville on Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 8am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial to follow in the church cemetery.
