Lelia was a very loving, caring and generous person. She never met a stranger, and loved finding out ALL about everyone she met. Her talents began at a young age by learning how to crochet, knit and sew. Her aunts were great teachers. Later she enjoyed cross stitching, painting, and many other arts and crafts. But her greatest joy was quilting, and she was very generous in giving her cherished handmade items to everyone. She was a charter member of the Magic Fingers Quilt Guild in Napoleonville. She also made the best crawfish bisque on the planet! Lelia was a member of the Riverdale Country Club. She loved playing golf, socializing with her dear friends, and going to the casinos on the bus with them. But most of all, she loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were always entertained by her stories that only a 96 year old could offer, usually after a glass of wine! Lelia was always the life of the party and her love for us was her shining light. We will all miss you dearly mom!
