Gwen Ourso Boudreaux, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, and great friend. A native of Donaldsonville, LA, born May 22, 1966, passed away Saturday, October, 8, 2016 at Ochsner Medical Center at the age of 50. A graduate of Donaldsonville High School and Nicholls State University. She was employed for 28 years with the Ascension and Assumption Parish School Boards as an educator, Assistant Principal at Lowery Middle School, Principal at Napoleonville Middle School, Pierre Part Middle School, and Donaldsonville High School. She was presently employed at East Ascension High School as an educator. Her lifelong passion for traveling was shared with others when she opened Boudreaux Travel agency. One of her favorite past times was traveling to the city of New Orleans, especially for its authentic cuisines and lively atmosphere. Gwen was also good at spoiling her nieces and nephews any time she had a chance with unpredictable road trips. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Todd Boudreaux. She is also survived by her son, John Michael Boudreaux; mother, Brenda Richard; sister, Stacie Ourso Webb; brother, Boyd Ourso and wife, Jamie; father in law, Gary Boudreaux Sr; and her cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Aimee Ourso; father, George Ourso; grandparents, John and Dorothy Richard, Ozile Ourso Landry and Adam Lucien Ourso; and mother in law, Beverly Boudreaux. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 8:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church, Donaldsonville, with Rev. Paul Yi Celebrant. Entombment will be in Ascension of Our Lord Mausoleum under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville. Pallbearers will be Steven Richard, David Richard, Gordon Schexnayder, Troy Richard, Taylor Richard, and Brent Burgess.
