David Paul Madere was born November 14, 1952, in Donaldsonville and passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge. He was 61. David loved playing football at Donaldsonville High, watching baseball games especially, L.S.U., and really enjoyed cooking, fishing and watching ´Cowboy T.V.’ He especially liked getting together with his family and friends for holidays and other special occasions.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014, 8:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville with Rev. Gerald Burns celebrant. Interment will be in the Ascension Catholic Church Cemetery, under the direction of Ourso Funeral Home, Donaldsonville.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Jennie Madere and Mallory Madere; 1 sister, Carmen Burns; 4 brothers; Jimmy Madere and wife Diane Blanchard Madere, Anthony Madere and wife Jean Aryl Charlet Madere, Ricky Madere, Donald Madere and Julie; nieces and nephews, Brett Burns, Jeanne Burns Dempster, Charles Madere, Wayne Madere, Cindy Church, Melissa Schexnayder, Jimmy Madere, Jr., Robert Madere, Julie Madere, Donald Madere, Jr., Jessica Madere, Brittany Madere, and Dawn Alleman, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Whelom Madere, Jr., and Jennie Latino Madere, his grandparents, brother-in-law, Shelby Burns, III, his brother and sister-in- law, Charles and Linda Hebert Madere, and a sister, Susie Madere
