Darlene Foret Gaudet

A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Darlene Foret Gaudet, 60, a native of Belle Rose and resident of Labadieville, was entrusted into God’s loving arms on April 7, 2017 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Gerald P. Gaudet; three children, Chad Foret and wife, Charlotte, Wayne Foret and wife, Nicole, Randy Gaudet and fiancé, Nicole Woods; Melanie Chauvin who was like a daughter; step daughter, Jamie Hatcher; four grandchildren, Cody Foret, Kandie Foret, Hailey Foret and Wayne Foret Jr.; one step grandson, Chris Hatcher; in laws, Louis and Estella Gaudet; god child, Chet Hernandez; two brothers, Gus Hernandez Jr. and Tim Hernandez; sister, Sheba Hernandez; beloved pet Izzy and grand pup Shu’ Micheal.She is preceded in death by her parents, Gus Sr. and Jeanette Hernandez; brother, Terry Hernandez and nephew, Shane Hernandez Sr. The Gaudet and Foret family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to UMC of New Orleans, Dr. Lopez and Journey Hospice. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 at St Jules Catholic Church from 8:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Intombment to follow in church mausoleum.
