Clara Mae S. Landry

Clara was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a devout Catholic who led by example. An active member of St. Francis of Assisi and Ascension Catholic Church.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her nine children, Diane Weil (Eric), Paula Brennan (Gerald), John Landry Jr. (Darlene), Thomas Landry, Carolyn Gautreaux (Glenn), Susan Rodriguez (Jody), Michael Landry, James Landry, and Kurt Landry; sixteen grandchildren, Erica Piper, Elaina Schexnayder, Elliot Weil, Alex Brennan, Patrick Brennan, Victoria Brennan, John Landry III, Jordan Landry, Jane Bird, Jennifer Martinez, Matthew Landry, Abby McCormick, Greta Foster, Michael Landry Jr., Gabrielle Landry and Brice Landry, and twenty six great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, JC Landry; one daughter, Nancy Landry; parents, Gaston and Laure Waguespack Schexnayder and three siblings, Gaston Schexnayder Jr., Hubert Schexnayder, and Kathleen Zeringue.

The family would like to give a very special thanks to all her caregivers for their support and compassion.

A memorial visitation will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 8am until Mass at 12pm. Burial to follow in the cemetery.
