Brant Anthony Theriot stole the hearts of every person that he met. To those who knew Brant even a little, he was a shining light in their lives.
Brant, 27 lifelong native of White Castle, LA and traveler of the world went home to be with God on February 13, 2024. In his time here with us, Brant was an accomplished actor, chef, director, caterer, nurse, baker, practical joker, and entrepreneur. He was a graduate of Ascension Catholic High School in 2015 and White Castle High School in 2018.
He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always blessed by his presence and graced by his beautiful smile. He will be missed every day by his parents, Teisha and Morty Theriot, his brother, Owen and his sister Angelle, grandparents, Marilyn and Dennis Daigle and Shirley and Jesse Theriot. Aunts and uncles: Godmother Angie Daigle, Nanny Lindy Davis(Don), Scott Theriot, Clint Theriot, Greg Theriot(Rebecca), Jessica Thompson(Bobby), Jay Theriot(Rene), Ray Theriot(Jenny), and Cher Anderson(Shannon) Brant had special love for all of his cousins, and special friends that surrounded him and basked in his light.
He is preceded in death by his baby cousin, Wesley Tate Caballero.
The pall bearers honoring Brant will be Kyle Mistretta, Don’Trell Taylor, Gregory Theriot, Jesse Wood Theriot, Hudson Theriot, Ross Theriot, BJ Grisaffe, Matthew Theriot, Landon Daigle,and Falcon Mire. Honorary pall bearers will be the Ascension Catholic High School Class of 2015.
Brant will be remembered every day by those who loved him. A visitation in honor of Brant will be held at Ourso Funeral Home on Friday, February 16 from 5pm to 9pm in Donaldsonville, LA. There will be a visitation on Saturday from 8:30am to 11am at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church followed by an 11am Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in the White Castle Mausoleum.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Stephen Brierre for the unwavering support and care that he gave Brant during his lifetime along with all the other doctors and nurses that provided care. Additional thanks to the staff at the Arc of Plaquemine and Clarity Hospice.
The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff and student body of White Castle High School, especially Ira Anderson.
