Agnes Acosta

Agnes Aucoin Acosta, 96, a native of Napoleonville and a resident of Thibodaux, passed away on Tuesday August 29th 2017 at home surrounded by loving family members. She is survived by one sister, Jenny Aucoin Drott of Covington. Also survived by her four children, Barbara Gautreau, Judy Richard, Richard "Dickie" Acosta and wife, Mara, and Keith Acosta; four grandchildren, Larry Wheat, Kenneth Richard, Jr., Rena Richard Ledet and husband, Todd, and Dylan Acosta; and three great grandchildren, Andre' Ledet, Stevie Marie Ledet and Chris Walker Wheat and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Alcide Oneal Acosta; parents, Henry and Anita Hebert Aucoin; one sister, Anita Louise Dupre; eight brothers, Albert "Lil Bit", Abbie, Shelby, Jim, Lois, George, Clarence and Norris Aucoin. Visitation will be held at Christ The Redeemer Church in Thibodaux on Wednesday September 6, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with funeral mass at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Donaldsonville.
