Richard Lee Schwartz

Schwartz, Richard Lee - 75 of Commack, NY passed away on June 25, 2012. Richard leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years Barbara; his loving children Debra and Barry Jones, and Robert Schwartz; his cherished granddaughter Alanah; as well as his adored sister Janet, and his brother William. Richard graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelors degree in Accounting, and for the next 50 plus years he worked as a certified public accountant in NYC. Richard was a part of many charitable organizations, and was voted man of the year by the Lubavitch group he belonged to and by the Shield Institute of NYC where he was on the board of directors. Richard was also proudly honored by the Jewish Business Association of B'Nai B'Rith, having received the City of Peace Award for outstanding participation in the Israel Bond Program. Richard will be missed by many. Services will be held at IJ Morris Dix Hills, on Thursday June 28, 2012 at 1:30pm with interment to immediately follow at the Mt. Golda Cemetery in Huntington Station, NY. Shiva will be observed at the Schwartz Residence, 35 Bethal Lane. Commack, NY 11725, Thursday after the service and Friday until sundown.
