Winston Frederick Gordon

Gordon, Winston Frederick age 72 of Digby, passed away February 7, 2015 in the Digby General Hospital. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he was a son of the late Uriel U. and Daphne E. (Aarons) Gordon. Besides being an avid gardener , Winston was a passionate lover of nature, music, movies , animals and science .He was a skilled handyman who could build almost anything including incredible metal art furniture. He was well educated and certified with a degree in Non-Destructive Testing. Winston was very much a philosopher who always had a positive outlook on life. Surviving are his fiancée Ruth Specht ,Digby; daughter Michelle Alton, Mississauga, Ont.; son Brandon Gordon , Halifax; sisters Audrey West, Mississauga, Ont. Beverley Allen, Rose Splatt, Faith Sherwood and Sonia Evans all of Jamaica; brothers Stephen Gordon , Burlington, Ont; Chester Gordon, New York; granddaughter Jaida Gordon and his former wife and mother of Michelle, Veronica McQueen, Mississauga, Ont. He was predeceased by his wife Muriel Gordon and brother Owen Gordon. Funeral service will be 1pm Monday from Jayne’s Funeral Home, 7 Birch St. Digby. Rev. Mel Malton will officiate.
