Virginia Edna Shaw

Shaw, Virginia Edna of Tideview Terrace and formerly of Digby passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 in Tideview Terrace at the age of 91. Born in Marshalltown, Digby Co., she was a daughter of the late Waters and Winnifred (Robbins) Comeau. A person of varied interests, she enjoyed gardening, photography, beach combing, her grandchildren and Virginia always loved a good laugh with her daughters and there were many! She was an active volunteer worker over the years. The church was an important part of Mum’s life. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughters Karen (Thursdon) Theriault, Kim (Alan) Crewe, Victoria Shaw, step daughter Helena (Jerry) Inglis, grandchildren Jennifer, Cassidy, Clarissa, Llewellyn Theriault, Kyle Crewe, Emily and Oliver Amero and Andrew Grout . She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene, granddaughter Nicole Crewe, brother Eugene and sister Lucy . No visitation by request. Funeral service will be 2pm , August 29 from Jayne’s Funeral Home , 15 Birch St., Digby. Rev. Donald Robertson will officiate with burial in All Saints Cemetery, Rossway. Donations in memory can be made to the Digby Neck Fire Dept.
