Born in Weaver Settlement, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Hazel (Barr) Duran. Vee was a woman with a huge heart. She loved her family dearly. She always said, “I had four of the cutest baby girls around.” She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with her whole heart. Vee loved children, all children she met. She was a hard worker all her life and she “actually” loved to work, especially outside. She and Clyde were always together cutting something down or cleaning up in the yard.
Vee was always willing to help whenever she could. She baked many times for people needing benefits in the area at our local community center. Everyone especially waited for her fudge. She enjoyed music and especially listening to piano playing. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and knitting. Vee sold Avon for 15 years in the community as well as take care of elderly people in their homes.
