Phyllis Genevieve Chute

Chute, Phyllis G. – 82, Bear River East, passed away June 20, 2011 in Digby General Hospital. Born in Centrelea, Annapolis Co., Phyllis was a daughter of the late Hubert and Irene (Harding) Lantz. Phyllis was a member of the Hillsburg United Church and a charter member of the Bear River Ladies Auxillary. Phyllis was a loving mother and grandmother, and enjoyed spending time with her great grandchildren in her later years. Phyllis is survived by daughters Darlene Potter, Clementsvale; Janice Chute (Robert) Bear River East; Deanna Chute (Tony), Bear River; sons Gerald Chute, Bear River; Tony (Leanne) Chute, Mink Cove; brother Gordon Lantz, Hamilton, ON; grandchildren Brenda Potter, Spencer Wright, Christopher Chute, Brandy Andrews, Melissa Parker, Andrew Chute, Josef Chute, Christopher Chute, Annie Chute, great grandchildren Calista Potter, Simon Andrews, Tristen Andrews and Sadie Parker. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband Gerald, sister Ethel Rafuse, brother Orrin Lantz, daughter-in-law Kristina Chute, son-in-law Danny Potter. Visitation 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday in Jayne’s Funeral Home Chapel, 7 Birch St. Digby (245-2525) Funeral 2pm Friday in Hillsburg United Church, Bear River, Pastor Mark Cress presiding. Interment in Mount Hope Cemetery, Bear River. Donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to Nova Scotia Lung Association or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
