Pete, as he was known to most, began his work experience as a teenager, with
Bear River Home Furnishings and his last years were spent working with his good friend Ron Cress for more than four years. In between all those years he worked in various areas of Alberta in different aspects of the oil patch industry, starting with driving heavy construction equipment, then as a supervisor, next a consultant
even owning his own business in Drayton Valley. Always a hard worker.
Always a "Ford" man, he could fix just about anything that had an engine- vehicle, tractor, quad or snowmobile, often with good friend Gary by his side. In the past he enjoyed his fishing trips and had great memories and many photos of his
wonderful times in the Yukon. Always willing to help anyone, he was a friend you could depend upon and had many longtime friendships. A weekly call to Paul in AB was a Saturday night routine to touch base and talk about how the week went.
A lover of ice cream, sweets in general, we think he had shares in Kraft by the
amount of peanut butter he went through. His grocery list always had milk at the top. Sometimes he went rogue and bought chocolate milk! Never without his
pink peppermints, he will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter Destiny Lejoure and grandchildren Orianna and
Lyshaud Lejoure of Alberta, uncles Harley (Faye) Potter of Virginia East, Phillip
Potter of Bear River, Harry (Tanya) Potter of Greenwood, and Ross (Susan) Potter of Cornwallis Park, and aunt Irene Sexton of Lequille. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Susan Lejoure of AB. Several nieces, nephews and cousins will also feel the loss.
He was predeceased by his birth father Charles Himmelman, step-daughter
Sheree Lejoure, maternal grandparents Loran and Mildred (Wright) Potter and
paternal grandparents Lawrence and Agnes (Jermey) Himmelman.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday,
September 21st at Forester's Hall in Clementsvale from 2 till 4 p.m. Pete's ashes will be dispersed at a later time at a private family gathering.
