After meeting and marrying the love of his life "Kay", they started a family and eventually moved to Moncton where he worked as a salesman at a car dealership. After a few years, he packed up his family to return to his hometown of Bear River where he began his career as a bus driver at CFB Cornwallis until it's shut down in 1994. Shortly after that he ran and operated his own excavating company until he moved to Dartmouth in the early 2000’s to be closer to his family and began driving big rigs as he loved being on the road. Known as "Kaw-Liga" by his brothers and friends, Paul enjoyed playing guitar while singing his favorite country songs, and the outdoors. He loved going for rides along the waterfront and parks with son Kevin, watching his grandson Ty play hockey and talking to & meeting new people. He was an avid reader of car books - especially antique cars, and could be found tinkering on anything mechanical, a MacGyver of sorts.
Paul is survived by daughter, Karla (Sid) Skeffington; son, Kevin Isles; sister, Pamela MacKinnon; brothers, Brian, Michael Isles; grandson, Ty and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen; brother in law, Colin MacKinnon; Sister in law, Janet Isles. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby.
