LOWE, Jean Maude – Age 95 of Deep Brook, passed away November 13, 2016 at Nakile Home for Special Care in Argyle with her granddaughter by her side. Born in Springfield, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Emily (Berringer) Kaulback. Jean was selfless and loving, she had a great sense of humor and you never knew what she was going to say. She loved gardening, camping and spending winters in Florida. Jean was a fantastic cook and was always baking bread, pies, making soups, pickles and jams with the berries she picked. She taught her daughter and granddaughter to become great cooks. She also liked a beer every now and then even towards the end. Arghh. Jean is survived by granddaughter, Dianna (Garnet) Horton, Yarmouth; grandsons, Donald Casey, Yarmouth; Mark (Corinna) Lowe, Mahone Bay; Brian Lowe, Deep Brook; great-grandchildren, Christopher Hubbard, Jarred, Katherine and Nicholas Lowe also many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Howard Lowe; son, Leon “Ted” Lowe; daughter, Sharon “Dolly” Casey; sisters, Violet Charleton, Arlene Vogel, Dorothy Cook; brothers, Clyde, Clarence, Gordon, Arnold, Burton, Ray and Ralph. Visitation will be 7-9pm, Thursday November 15 from Jayne’s Funeral Home in Digby (902-245-2525) also where the funeral service will be held on Friday at 11am. Rev. Jeff White presiding with interment in Clementsport Cemetery.
