Janet was a volunteer at the Bethany Bin, she also volunteered selling tickets at Wharf Rat Rally and other organizations and charity events. Janet enjoyed country music, gardening, reading and sewing, her and her husband Doug made quilts together. Janet is survived by daughter, Michele (Darryl) and their children Jesse and Amber; son, Douglas (Melyssa) and their children, Ashley and Ryan; sisters Juanita Doucette, Judith MacDonald, Juliette (Neil) VanTassel; brothers, Jim (Angie) Handspiker, Jeff (Debbie) Handspiker as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janet was predeceased by her husband Douglas Ronald; son, Joseph Steven and brother, Joe.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby where the funeral service for Janet will be 2pm on October 12, 2019, Rev. Alex Constable presiding with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Digby.
