Gilda enjoyed spending time with her family, she loved family gatherings. Throughout her life Glida enjoyed many things, curling, golf, line dancing, wood working, darts, decorating cakes and was famous for her mincemeat pies. She was also very proud of her collection of horses. She enjoyed playing games on her tablet as well as watching cooking shows on tv. She was a lifelong hairdresser with a very loyal clientele. Gilda will be remembered for her famous eye roll but even more than that, her kindness.
Surviving are her daughter, Natasha (Keith); son, Collin (Robyn); her grandchildren, Mason, Colbrun, nieces Anjanette and Luella. She is also survived by Eugene Condon, a lifelong and faithful friend that she could always count on as well as lifelong friend of 61 years, Sandra Gauthier.
Gilda was predeceased by her husband, Gary Perkins and sister, Trudy.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. A Celebration of Gilda’s Life will be held at a later date. Donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 21, Annapolis.
