Rice, Geraldine Rose, age 67, of Southville, passed away January 10, 2022 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Havelock, she was a daughter of the late Ervin Roy “Ted” and Hazel “Haz” (Brittain) Hill.
Geraldine will be remembered for her generosity. She was known for wheeling and dealing along with yard saling.
Geraldine is survived by her spouse, Ivan Gavel; daughter, Sheila Rice (Gary Hill); sons, Edward (CherylAnn) Rice, Wendall Gavel (Samantha), Stewart Rice; step-sons, Ashley (April) Gavel, Aston (Claudette) Gavel; sisters, Hilda Barr, Lorraine (Ernest) Pothier; brothers, Hallet (Mary) Hill, Ervin Hill Jr.; 15 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brothers, Pearley Edward Hill and Arthur Hill.Burial has taken place at Lakeside Cemetery.
