Born in Corberrie, he was the son of the late Alice (Melanson) Saulnier and Paul Gaudet.
Affectionately known as J.J. by his family and friends he leaves behind his loving daughters, Jennifer Gaudet, Margaret (Maggie) Muise; his grandsons, Alex Gaudet, John-Paul Gaudet, J.D. Gaudet, Hunter Martell; great grandchildren, Brynlee and Emmett; sister, Bernice (Bill) Twaddle; niece, Gina; nephew, Jamie and Aunt, Emily “Little Mil” Melanson.
Gerald was predeceased and now reunited with his wife, Norma; brother, Wilfred and granddaughter, Julia “Jewelbug”.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Southville Church of Christ Cemetery.
