Well hello, if you’re reading this I have decided to leave this world and partake in what lies ahead in the next. I finally get to see my wife (Brenda) & son (Deker) again, they left me in this world without them and I’ve missed them so much.
Even though I’m leaving my son Jason and daughter Nicole behind in this world I know they’ll be well taken care of by their other half’s Jennifer and Travis. I’ll miss my granddaughters Jessica (Brad) (miss muppet) and Isabell (I’ll miss your hugs). I’ll miss my grandson Justin, who says as much in this world as I do, which isn’t much. I’ll miss my great-granddaughter Quincy (my little firecracker)! But most of all please know I feel sorry that I have to say see you later to all my extended family and friends. To my sister Rosalie thank you for being the best sister I could ask for.
I leave behind my sisters, Rosalie, Shirley (Joe), Caroline, Betty (Charlie) and I can imagine I’m already saying hi to my sister Linda who left before me. Also my brother Kevin. My foster siblings (The Barr’s from Danvers) who I leave behind know I’ll miss you all too. Ronnie (Peggy), Eric (Darlene), Max (Beverley), Cathy (Timothy), Holly (Michelle), Merle (Crystal).
I worked for 44 years with the DOT in Digby and want to thank all my co-workers for many great years on the job. I enjoyed sports, bowling, golf, baseball and hockey until my body said I’m old and don’t wanna play no more. So after giving up sports I decided to start feeding the beavers at the stream down the way from my house, go for a bike ride or a nice nature walk, and feed all the birds in my backyard.
When my memory crosses your thoughts take a beer to where my body lays because goodness knows I’d enjoy it. So for now I’m going to sign off and say see you when your spirit comes to meet mine again one day.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 6-8pm with funeral service on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 2pm, both from Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby, Pastor Mark Cress officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations in memory can be made to the Yarmouth Regional Hospital or the Cancer Society.
