George was born on May 04, 1944. George moved from Winnipeg Manitoba to Ontario before retiring in Nova Scotia. He is survived by his wife (partner) Sandy Mulveney of 33 years, his sons Paul Norman and family, Ryan Norman and family, step son Alexander Solomon and family. Predeceased by his brother Brian Norman.
George was a passionate beekeeper. He was also a dog lover, fostering Jack Russell Terriers. He enjoyed reading, music, woodworking, SCUBA diving, fishing and loved Blue Jays baseball. He was also a social and environmental activist. He was known for being supportive, sensitive, careful thinking, strong, loving, and for his kind and compassionate spirit.
A memorial will be held on Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 at Jayne’s Funeral Home, 15 Birch St, Digby, NS from 1:00p.m – 3:00pm. Donations in George’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Jack Russell Rescue CA. The family would like to thank Roy Austin for his support and caring for our bees through George’s illness. Cremation has taken place under the care of Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby.
