Freda liked to travel and always enjoyed her summer days on the island. She loved her VW beetles, berry picking, fishing, dancing, playing card games, hearing and telling jokes. She always enjoyed seeing her family and friends whether in Toronto or on the Islands. Freda was just an all around fun person to be around. She was a member of Freeport Baptist Church. When Freda lost her daughter Helena suddenly, she didn't have to be persuaded much at all to move home with her niece Heather with help from great nieces Lavena and Kristen. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She loved her cats princess and Digby. Freda will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by sisters, Neta (Merwin) Pyne, Norma (Shirley) Elliott; grandson, James Kyle (Dale Porter) Templeton, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides Freda's parents she was predeceased by brothers; Arthur, Watson, Harry, Clayton, Donald Crocker; daughter, Helena Templeton (nee Tibert); grandson, Darren Young; husbands, Ray Tibert and Scott Perry. Visitation will be 1-3pm Saturday April 20 at Jayne’s Funeral Home, Digby (902-245-2525).
