He is survived by his wife of 67 years Constance, children Lynn, Toby (Victor), Perry (Marianne), Mitchell (Chrissie), Darlene (Mary Frances), Jennifer (Darren) and sister Muriel Wilson. Frank will be sadly missed by his 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Frank was predeceased by his brothers Clarence, Herbert and sisters Evelyn, Annie, Marguerite and Elaine.
Frank started working at a very young age. He was a woodsman, a heavy duty equipment operator and an excellent carpenter who built new houses, did repairs, completed renovations and moved many buildings around Digby.
Frank loved the woods where he hunted and fished. He was also licensed guide and trapper for many year. He loved to cook, make stews, soups, bread and his speciality was his biscuits.
Frank was artistically talented. He was a musician who played the guitar and keyboard by ear. He played for many birthday parties and various gatherings. He also loved to write poems, songs, stories and jingles. He wrote a jingle and won a 1957 Fairlane convertible. Between the ages of 91-92 he wrote a book about his life called “Frank’s Stories”, he was very proud of that book and happy that many have read it.
Frank was a man who enjoyed watching his T.V. programs, especially his game shows. As well he liked to play games. Frank declared himself the crokinole champ but Tristyn his grandson was the checker champ.
Frank loved his large family and friends. He will be remembered for helping his family, fellow man and pitching in when needed. He had strong faith and was a man of prayer. These traits were known by those who loved him. He enjoyed the company of his 2 close friends Bernie and Gary. He will be missed by all.
