Nancy L. Breitag, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2024, in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She was born on March 30, 1948, in Ann Arbor to Ray and Emily Mosher.
On March 19, 1999, Nancy married Richard "Rick" Ray in Las Vegas. Together, they nurtured a blended family of five children, creating a home filled with love and laughter. Nancy and Rick’s love story began through a connection made by her mother, and their bond only grew stronger over the years. Together, they enjoyed life’s adventures, big and small, always supporting each other and sharing their love with their family and friends.
Nancy treasured her family and took great pride in maintaining and celebrating family traditions. She especially loved spending time with her 26 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
Nancy was known for her easy-going nature and kind, non-judgmental spirit. She had a zest for life, especially when it came to gambling and bowling. Nancy loved going to casinos, playing cards, and making frequent trips to Las Vegas. An avid bowler, she participated in numerous leagues and tournaments, becoming a cherished teammate and friend in the bowling community. Her other passions included word finds, Sudoku, Words with Friends, dice games, swimming, spending time with her family up north.
Nancy had a remarkable career at Sheridan Books, formerly Braun & Brumfield Publishers. She dedicated 50 years to the company, working as a bookbinder and job planner.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Rick, her daughter Dana (Curt), Rick's children; Richie (Cathy), Alicia (Buddy),Sheree, and Michelle (Olen), her mother, Emily Mosher; her siblings, Barbara Alexa, Gorden (Diane) Mosher, Gary (Gayle) Mosher, Crystal (Bill) McCarter and Mary Mosher and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Mosher, sister Kathleen Payne and two nieces. She also leaves behind 26 cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Nancy will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 3410 Broad St, Dexter, Michigan 48130. A church visitation will occur Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ, 7610 Ann Arbor Street, Dexter, Michigan 48130. A funeral service will occur at 11:00 AM at St. Andrew's United Church of Christ. Burial will immediately follow at Saint Andrews Cemetery, 2615 Baker Road, Dexter, Michigan 48130.
