Maria Anna Ceriani

She was born on December 9, 1930 in Ofterdingen, Germany. She came to America in 1952 and became an American citizen in 1957. She lived in Dexter for 71 years. She married Louis E. Ceriani in 1956 in New York City’s Time Square. Maria was a long time employee of DAPCO Industries before retiring. She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Louis; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Korona Lutz (nee: Schmid) and her father, Jakob Lutz; two brothers, Karl Lutz (Rosa) and Otto Lutz (Else).

Maria was a longtime member of Huron River Methodist Church. Her favorite hobby was growing flowers in her garden and enjoying the flowers she grew in her home. Maria and Louis enjoyed their Sunday’s going to church when they could and then taking a drive through the countryside. Maria was very detailed oriented, soft spoken with a big heart for others. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

There will be a Graveside Service at 12:30pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Dexter.
