John Wilson Miller

Miller, John Wilson passed away February 17, 2016 at the age of 68 after a very brief yet intense encounter with cancer. He retired from Fingerle Lumber Company where he served as the Mill Manager after his father left. John was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he specialized in Radio Mechanics. He was committed to his family and to his community. His father John C. Miller preceded him in death. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary C. Miller (O’Doherty), daughters; Karen (Dave) Vontom and Jennifer (Roy) Berry, grandchildren; Katie and Emma Vontom, Tessa, Julia and Alice Berry, brother; Dave Miller, sister; Patricia Miller and his loving mother; Blanche Ileana Miller. A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel (410 Broad St., Dexter). The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-8 P.M. on Sunday and again on Monday from 10 A.M. until the hour of the service. He will be laid to rest at Washtenong Memorial Park with Military Honors under the auspices of Washtenaw County Honor Guard.
