Dan spent his formative years in the charming town of Dexter and graduated from Dexter High School. Known for his strong work ethic and unwavering determination, he forged a successful career as a finish carpenter for Carpenters Local 687, dedicating over 30 years to perfecting his craft. His meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence left an indelible mark on countless projects.
In the summer of his life, Dan found love in the most serene setting at the lake. It was there that he crossed paths with his soulmate, Nancy, who happened to be his neighbor. Their connection deepened over time, and in 1982, they joyfully exchanged vows, embarking on a journey of love, companionship, and shared dreams.
Dan and Nancy's union blessed them with three wonderful children, who became the center of their world. As a father, Dan was a pillar of strength and a source of inspiration. He instilled in his children the values of hard work, perseverance, and the importance of family bonds. His legacy lives on through the lessons he imparted and the love he showered upon his cherished family.
Outside of work, Dan enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was spending time with family, working on the family farm, and driving the tractors. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and having quiet time in his pole barn. He found joy in restoring and driving his 1967 GTO convertible. His stubborn determination, coupled with a heart full of love, defined him as a family man and endeared him to all who knew him.
