Mr. Huff was born February 9, 1937 to Clayton W. & Lila R. (nee: Williams) Huff in Ann Arbor. After graduation from University High School Charles received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Michigan State University. He worked for 33 years for the University of Michigan as a Purchasing Agent.
After serving in the United States Army, he married Jeannine E. Crumbaugh on November 14, 1970. They raised four sons together. With his family, Charles enjoyed touring the country and camping. One of the most memorable trips was being part of a 36-vehicle, 73-person caravan to Alaska. In the wintertime, the motorhome took Charles and Jeannine to Florida and Arizona to visit friends and family. He also enjoyed square dancing with Jeannine for over 20 years. Earlier in his life Charles loved music and was a Choral Union Singer.
Mr. Huff is survived by his wife of 46 years Jeannine; sons, Terry (Carolyn), Don (Laura), Charles W. (Michelle); daughter-in-law, Linda; grandchildren, Ashley, Tyler, Logan, Derek, Isabelle and Madeline. In addition to his parents, Mr. Huff was preceded in death by his son, Mark; and siblings, Bob, Sue, Joyce and William.
Friends may visit from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel 3410 Broad Street (at 4th), Dexter, Michigan 48130. Burial will be at Washtenong Cemetery on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Following Easter, a Celebration of Charles’ Life will be held at First United Methodist Church, 120 South State Street (at East Huron Street), Ann Arbor, MI 48104 on Saturday - April 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
