Terry Lee Couzzins

Terry Lee Couzzins - age 64 of DeWitt, Michigan went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2024. Terry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and son. Terry was the son of Martha Runyon and Michael Couzzins, born on October 24,1959 in Lansing, Michigan.

Terry courted his wife, Gina, beginning in April 1977. The two were married in April 1987. Terry and Gina resided in DeWitt, Michigan for the entirety of their life together where they raised their son, Derek. Terry was a former owner of Old Country Catering in DeWitt, where he was famous for his delicious crab soufflé. He was also employed with Fred Motz Builder, a position that he really enjoyed. Terry worked in many retail settings during his life and was great at fixing everything.

Terry was always available in a pinch to help anyone in need. Terry enjoyed hunting with his son, brothers, father, and friends. He enjoyed family gatherings, golfing, playing pool, fishing, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid MSU Spartan fan (GO GREEN! GO WHITE!). He was a loyal, honest, and hardworking man. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Michael Couzzins and younger brother Jerry Couzzins. Terry is survived by his wife, Gina Couzzins, son Derek Couzzins (Jordynn), two grandchildren Dylan and Avery, Mother Martha Runyon, siblings Cindy Vanegas (Tony), Melinda VanAtten (Jim), Melanie Wright (Nick), Michael Womboldt (Dawn), Todd Couzzins, Amy Couzzins-Rawson (Travis) and Amanda Verstrat (Jason); brother-in-law Eric Conklin (Josie); and mother-in-law Phyllis Rewerts and father-in-law Duane Conklin.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Terry at the VFW Post 671 on 12250 Old U.S. 27, Dewitt, MI on Saturday October 12th between 1-4PM.
