Ruth C. Pearson

Ruth C. Pearson, 81, of DeWitt, Michigan passed away February 14, 2017. She was born in Lansing, Michigan March 1, 1935 to Louis and Sophia (Trieweiler) Platte. Ruth was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She and her husband, William raised 5 children, 3 daughters and 2 sons. In her spare time, Ruth enjoyed quilting and baking.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 7 siblings. Surviving to cherish Ruth’s memory are daughters, Debbie (David) Barratt, Linn (Garry) Sullivan, Christine Stehlik; sons, William (Colleen) Pearson, Thomas (Elizabeth) Pearson; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and one brother. Ruth was a member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude in DeWitt, and Good Sam’s Travel Club.

A funeral mass will take place at 11:00 am Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge Street, DeWitt with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Robert Irish will officiate. The family will also receive visitors Friday, February 17, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the church.
