Robert Lewis Myers

Bobby was born in Lansing on May 1,1944. He was a 1962 Lansing Everett graduate, worked for Motor Wheel, proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War, a Charter Member of the DeWitt Township Fire Department, and retired from General Motors after 38.9 years. He loved fishing, hunting, card playing, traveling and camping, and had a seasonal camper in the greater Ludington area for the last 30+ years. He was always generous with his time and treasure and enjoyed having family and friends about him. His gentle loving soul will be greatly missed!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Geraldine (Dodge) Myers, his wife and stepson, Carol and Jimmy Stevens, and his sister-in-law, Robin Myers. He is survived by his son, Kenneth (Marci) Myers of Fowler, stepson, Jeff (Nicole) Stevens of Lucens, Switzerland, grandchildren Gabriel and Nathaniel Myers, Stacy and Kimberly Stevens, sister, RoseMary (Mike) Roberts of DeWitt, and Kirk Myers of Grand Ledge.

A special thank you to all of his caregivers over the last 6.5 years of Alzheimer's memory care including: Karen Wright of Fowler, Deb of Daily Living Home Care, Rosewood of DeWitt, Mid-Michigan Home Health & Hospice, The Ridge at Lansing, and Ruby and Belinda from Hospice of Lansing. It has been quite the journey....

A graveside service will be held on October 27, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Gunnisonville Cemetery, 2000 E. Clark Rd., Lansing.
