Phyllis Ruth Park

Phyllis Ruth Park, 93, of Bath passed away at home under the loving care of her family and hospice on Tuesday, December 08, 2015. She was born in Rankin, Illinois on February 15, 1922, the daughter of Harry and Anna (Johnson) Pierce. Phyllis was a social person that attended as many of the activities and ball games at the Bath School’s as she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Phyllis would spend a lot of time with her friends doing different activities and shopping. Phyllis attended the Gunnisonville United Methodist Church. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Park; her parents; grandson, Trevor Vail; sister, Harriet Fitzhenry; three brothers, Dick, Bill and Jim Pierce. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Barbara (Hewitt) Vail; two sons, Ron (Debbie) Park, Wes (Roxa) Park; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services remembering Phyllis’ life will be held at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on
