She is survived by her loving husband Michael Molitor, son Gregory (Angelica) Molitor, mother Bernadine Bennett, sister Carol Bennett, sister Ellen Richmond, brother-in-law William (Sherrie) Molitor, sister-in-law Linda (Thomas) Thompson, sister-in-law Janice (Chester) Briggs, nephew Russell (Romana) Bennett, nephew Joel (Sabrina) Richmond, niece Jessica Bennet, nephew Jonathon (Liana) Bennett, niece Sarah Bennett, nephew Gerald Richmond Jr., nephew Michael (Megan) Thompson, niece Lindsay (Nick) Jury, niece Zoe Molitor, nephew Zack Molitor and 19 grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Nora Molitor, father Lawrence Bennett, brother Larry Joe Bennett, father-in-law William Molitor, mother-in-law Dorothy Molitor, brother-in-law Gerald Richmond, nephew Thomas Bennett, and niece Kali Richmond.
Patricia was born in Lansing, Michigan where she attended Lansing Sexton High School. After graduating in 1969, she began her career at Michigan Bell Telephone Company, as a telephone operator. She furthered her career by becoming one of the first women to secure an engineering position. While at MBT she was actively involved in community projects such as providing bikes for children.
In 1972, she met Michael, and they began their 48 year adventure. They were married in 1975, in Lansing, Michigan. In 1981, their first child, Nora, was born followed by their son, Gregory in 1984. Pat was a wonderful wife and mother and loved her family. They loved vacationing with the kids and enjoyed Detroit Tiger and MSU sporting events. They had many wonderful years together attending their children's sporting events, which were many. She was very involved in school activities as well as working at their own business, Innovative Polymers for several years.
Patricia was a woman of deep faith and a member of Redeemer United Methodist Church where she was very involved and loved her church family. She was also a Master Gardener and a member of the DeWitt Millennium Garden Club. She was committed to the positions she held and made many lifelong friends. She had many hobbies such as reading and needlepoint. She had a witty sense of humor and loved punny jokes. She loved playing what she dubbed “reindeer games” at Christmas family gatherings and kept everyone laughing, leaving them with wonderful memories. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, August 28, 2023 at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at DeWitt Cemetery.
