Pamela Diane Johnson (79) of Windsor, Ontario, passed away from lung cancer surgery complications on April 15, 2022 in Vero Beach, Florida. Although proud of her French heritage, Pamela was a naturalized US citizen and proudly called Florida home for nearly 30 years.
As the only child of the late Leo and Lila (McKay) Meunier, Pamela enjoyed being around large families and surrounded by those she cared about. She enjoyed group-outings, travels, dinners, or tailgating, and never missed an opportunity to enjoy the theater with friends.
Pamela was survived by her husband of 46 years, Theodore (Ted) Johnson, and her daughter, Lisa Hoecker. Other survivors include her favorite sister and brother-in-law, Dawn and Michael Ridge.
Pamela was a wonderful wife and mother, who was proud of her husband, daughter, and son-in-law Justin Hoecker. Pamela’s home was welcoming and a hot meal was always offered. Even as she worked full-time and husband often traveled for work, her attention to Ted and Lisa never waned. Pamela’s strength, optimism, joyfulness, and determination provided a model on which her daughter, and others, strive to emulate.
Mom, you will be missed by so many.
Burial will be at noon April 27, 2022 at Chapel Hills Memorial Gardens in Lansing, Michigan.
