Nancy K. Scott

Nancy was a middle school teacher for most her life, teaching English and History at Owosso Public School and retiring in 2002. In her retirement, she was an avid traveler and went to many places in the U.S. and abroad, only slowing down due to chronic pain. She always had a scrap book in the making from her last adventure. In addition to traveling, she was a prolific reader and amassed a sizable book collection. Taking an interest Civil War history through donations to Civil War battleground trusts and supporting the local Dewitt Public Library.

Nancy is survived by her two sons, Steve (Kim) and Brian (Sara); and 4 grandchildren, Bailey and Abigail, and Ruby and Laurel respectively. She was preceded by her husband Arthur in 1999.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 205 E. Washington St. DeWitt, MI 48820. In lieu of flowers, donations to the DeWitt Public Library would be greatly appreciated.
