Marion Margaret Ames

Our Mother, Marion Margret Ames 96 passed away on April 4, 2022. She was born on the Banks farm in Eaton County on June 24, 1925 to Clarence and Winifred (Collins) Edick. She graduated from Eastern High School in 1942. She was married to Leo Ames on Nov. 1st 1942, and was married to him until his death in 2004. She worked several places as a bookkeeper and office manager. Her siblings were Marietta Ripley, Lew, and Raymond Edick all of which preceded her in death. Marion had 4 sons, John (Dianne), Tom, Mike(Star), and David(Charlotte). They gave her 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Marion was predeceased by her sons Tom and Mike.

A Committal Service will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 1:00PM at East Lawn Memory Gardens, 2400 Bennett Road, Okemos, Michigan 48864, inside the chapel at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the Ames family asks for donations in honor of Marion be made to The Capital Area Humane Society.
