Mr.Fray was the best gym teacher I’ve ever had and I’m in 7th grade. He was not only a teacher but a role model in every Dewitt kids life.  It was like he was on a different wavelength with us and understood us. All of the Dewitt community will miss him. But it’s important to remember it’s not goodbye forever. One of my best memories was in 2nd grade we were doing a game and I was getting so frustrated that I wanted to quit but Mr.Fray stopped me.  He was a great person and we will all miss him. #CoachFrayStrong❤️

When I look back on my experiences in elementary school P.E., Mr. Fray stands out as the nicest and most welcoming teacher I was lucky enough to have. Every gym class was a fun time for my classmates and I. I remember feeling so honored as a small 1st grader when he chose me to be a spokesperson for the "Fuel Up to Play 60" video that our school was creating. Another memory that stands out to me is him teaching us all how to make a proper free throw. He was truly a great person who every kid deserved to have in their school life. 

I enjoyed the days that I got to see you and your wife Samantha. I’ve thought about you a lot since meeting you both. Prayers and love to Samantha and the kids. 

Mr. Fray was a former PE teacher of mine and he was the best one! I'm currently in 6th grade. On field day it was rainy outside and to wet to do field day, so he pulled aside a couple of kids to host it online, and I was one of them. That was a really fun day, that I will never forget! Mr. Fray always did extra to make sure we were always having fun and getting exercise!  In school when I heard Marcus Fray passed away, I was so very sad. I wish he was still with us today, I bet we all do. Best wishes to the Fray family! His 2 kids and his wife, I hope you're doing alright. :)  If you need anything you should always know that the DeWitt Community is here to help! We'll miss you Mr. Fray!❤ #CoachFrayStrong 

I grew up with Marcus, both as a neighbor who lived down the road from me and a classmate. He was a genuine, amazing person and the world is less without him. Rest well, friend.

My deepest condolences to the Fray family.  Marcus was the kindest and gentlest teacher and coach.  He shared his wisdom and knowledge of track with my son and I enjoyed when I used to run into him at Speedway and we would chat.  I know he is in a more pleasant place now looking down guarding his lovely family.  RIP Marcus.
