John Flores Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Monday, December 17, 2012. He was born in Lansing on May 14, 1932 to John and Maria Flores. John loved his faith, family and friends. John served his country proudly as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Motor Wheel after 27 years of service and was a member of the Catholic Community of St. Jude. Mr. Flores was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Paul Flores Sr. and his sisters, Trina, Ida, Carmen and Lolie. Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife, Dolores of 56 years; daughter, Roseann (Michael) Bills; and sons, Michael (Susan) Flores, Vince (Veronica) Flores, Jerry Flores and Ronald (Irma) Flores; 17 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Emma Soria and Josephine Flores. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 21 at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, 801 N. Bridge Street in DeWitt. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19 and Thursday, December 20, with the rosary being prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington in DeWitt and one hour prior to mass at church.
