Jerry McGinley of Central Lake, MI, formerly of Lansing, born May 3, 1937 to John and Helen (Morgan) McGinley, passed away December 15, 2014. Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to watch wildlife and was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed camping. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lawrence D. McGinley. Surviving to cherish his memory are the family who was very important to him, his wife, Janet McGinley of Central Lake; daughter, Denise (Sean) VanWyke of Charlotte; son, Jim (Ellen) McGinley; grandson, Matthew McGinley, of whom Jerry was very proud; step-grandchildren, Colin and Corinne Van Wyke; nephews, Michael and John McGinley of Central Lake; nieces, Barbara Kirby and Lynne Dennis of California; great-nephew, Russ; great-nieces, Amanda, Tori, Donna, Faith, and Sabrina. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, in DeWitt. The family will receive friends and relatives from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
