Gary Clyde Parks

He was born in Lansing, Michigan to Cloyce and Dorothy (Thomas) Parks on November 17, 1937. Gary graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Michigan, then joined the Navy where he became an aviation storekeeper on the U.S.S. Essex. After being honorably discharged from the Navy he worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1988. He loved to hunt, especially with his dad and brothers on their yearly trips out west. He spent a lot of time reloading bullets for his love of hunting and guns. He would read and watch anything he could on the different wars. He also liked doing crossword puzzles. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and pets. Gary is survived by his wife, Rose, children, Gary Parks of Lansing, Ann (Samuel) Payne of DeWitt, Constance Parks of St. Johns, Catherine (Thomas) Driscoll of St. Johns, and David Parks of Lansing; grandchildren, Alyssa Driscoll, Samantha Payne, and Nicholas Driscoll.

A funeral service will be held for Gary on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home - DeWitt Chapel, 205 East Washington Street, DeWitt, Michigan 48820; with visitation starting one hour prior to the funeral service at 10:00 AM.

The Parks family asks for everyone in attendance to please wear a mask.

Burial will follow at Gunnisonville Cemetery.
