Husband, father, and grandfather, Eugene Edward McAdams, Sr. passed away peacefully on October 21, 2022 at the age of 93. He was born on June 24, 1929, in Lansing, Michigan to parents Cyril Allison McAdams and Waneita Gertrude McAdams (Hudson).
He attended James Couzens Agricultural School in Bath, Michigan. Upon graduation in 1950, he was awarded the State Farmer Scholarship from MSU. He served two years in the Army during the Korean War and was Honorably discharged in 1952. On december 4, 1953, Eugene married Lena Anne Kuhn at Emanuel First Ev. Lutheran Church in Lansing, Michigan. He worked for Schaberg-Dietrich/George Worthington for 14 years, Diamond Reo for 10 years and Meijer, Inc. for 18 years.
Eugene and Lena moved into their new home in 1963 and lived there for 60 years. Eugene was always interested in John Deere, Farming, animals, and the out-of-doors.
He is survived by his wife lena, of 69 years, children; Eugene Jr. and Caroline Haugen (Kevin), three grandchildren; Michael Haugen, Stephanie Gardner (Jake), and Glenn McAdams (Lacey), four great-grandchildren; Ethan, Isaac, John and Oliver.
He was preceded in death by his grandson Darren McAdams.
