Ellen Rosalie Brown, age 82, of Lansing, Michigan returned to her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 3, 2020. Ellen was born January 8, 1938 to Nelson and Mary Hunt. She graduated from DeWitt High School. Ellen married Joseph W. Brown Sr. and they spent 54 loving years together. She loved her family, and cherished her time with her grandchildren.
Ellen was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Donald Hunt; her sister, Beverly Kruger; and her husband, Joseph. She is survived by her children, Sheryl (Dave) Ferrigan, Joseph (Missy), James (April); grandchildren, Jennifer, Jamie, and Jessica Ferrigan, Zachary and Hunter Brown, James, Alivia, and Ashley Brown; her sister, Joyce Wells; and many nieces and nephews.
Ellen loved to vacation especially with her family, fishing with her husband and camping across Michigan and at Rice Lake in Canada. Ellen looked forward to all of her grandchildren's sporting events. She was always willing to travel across the state to watch and cheer them on!
Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Redeemer United Methodist Church in DeWitt.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ellen may be made to Redeemer United Methodist Church, 13980 Schavey Road, DeWitt, MI 48820.
