After a life well lived, Eldona M Seeger was called home to her heavenly rest on Saturday, August 29, 2020 to join her husband, Paul W Seeger. Her life was centered on Christ. She was not afraid to share her faith in the triune God with others.
Eldona was born in Howell, MI on January 11, 1929, the eldest daughter of Ira and Florence (Barber) Cronkright. She grew up on a farm near Webberville and graduated from Fowlerville High School, where she played in the band. She had a life-long love of music and enjoyed playing the piano until her death. She attended Michigan State University, graduating with a business degree. Paul and Eldona were married in Webberville, MI, on August 16, 1952. Paul predeceased her in 2000. Eldona enjoyed being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.
Left behind, to cherish her memory, are her four children and their families: son, David (Mary) Seeger; grandchildren, Michael (Leah) Seeger, Timothy (Leidy) Seeger; great granddaughter, Valerie; grandson, Douglas (Samantha) Seeger; great granddaughters, Tessa and Quinn, grandson, William (Caitlin Palmiter) Seeger; daughter, Jeannine (Greg) Benedict and grandson Philip; daughter, Sarah (David) Hartman; grandchildren, Carolyn (Kyle) Kolka; great-grandchildren, Oscar, Elliott, Ava, Christopher (Mi-Ann) Hartman, and Nicholas Hartman; son, Jonathon (Donna) Seeger; and grandchildren, Benjamin and Rebecca. She also leaves behind her sister and brother-in-law, Elaine (Allen) Cable and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will take place at Gunnisonville Cemetery on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Paul Lindloff from Emanuel First Lutheran Church officiating. There will be no visitation prior.
